NRL Writing

this week in writing  my class puts us in a competition where we can get our books published these books have to be based off an NRL rugby league team because I live in New Zealand Auckland my rugby league team ist he NZ Warriors. We can only achieve these books being published if our books are extremely good we also do not need to make them real we can make them about mythical creatures fighting the NRL all that there is a secret undercover mission that they need to accomplish. here is what I have done.

HHV Picture Story

This week we went to the howick historical village.

First we got into our groups. My group was group 2. My adult helper was miss Tele’a.

Next my group went to make these trolly skateboards on the other side of the village. There we made, raced & broke trolly skatboard.

Then we went over to the other side of the village again to make butter. We had to churn cream heaps of times to make the butter and it was yum.

After that did a self guided tour. on the tour we went to houses, toilets, shops and a manor that was massive. That would be my house if I lived back then.

The Landing at Gallipoli

This week for writing I learnt more about the ANZACs. I made a diary entry about what I would think a ANZAC soldier would have to face.

Here is what I thiught:

Date : 25, April 1915

Dear Diary, We just landed at Gallipoli and got the word from Corporal to jump out of the ship. As we ran to shore, I could see bullets flying past me as I rushed to stay alive. As I ran, salt water got in my eye so I couldn’t see. The startle of the water kept me on edge when suddenly I got shot in the shoulder.

A group of the higher ups were beginning to fire back as they hid behind rocks. I was scared to the bone as I saw more of my fellow soldiers getting killed. But I pushed myself to carry on.

I saw my friend who was with me in the training camp get shot 3 times. That’s when the reality of war struck me. The people that weren’t killed were making trenches and I joined them in the trench to stay there for the night.

Seargent Major Jones

Our School trip

One time our school, went up mount Maunganui.

First we got ready to leave and once we were all ready we hoped on a bus and left school.Next we got to the skate park which was right next to the mountain, we had to park there because there was no parking spots by the mountain.Then we went inside the gates of the mountain and started our walk. Like three minutes on our walk up we looked out at the view and named where suburbs around East Tamaki.After we made it to the top of the mountain we all had a quick break to look at the awesome view.Finally we went to the highest point of Maungarei and listened to a guy talk about the mountains history
I enjoyed this experience because a got to walk up a mountain with my friends

The Bouyancy Challenge

LI : Design and build a boat using popsicle sticks
to achieve a specific function.

In week Four LS1 was learning what and how to use buoyancy.
The first thing we did was make paper boats and design them I made my paper boat design have wakes and my name. The next thing we did was a paper boat race where we went in table groups, we used straws to blow our boats across the floor.
The next task was to find a buddy or go on your own I went with my homie roman. Me and him made a boat that was flimsy but still worked. Me and roman used straws, popsicle, glue and sellotape.
The final thing We did was test if our boat would succeed the buoyancy function and see if our popsicle boat.

The Assassins Journey

This is a story I made.

Hi my name is Scarlet and this is my story. I ran away from my hometown and my assassin group. My eyes were tearing up. I was beginning to think it was a bad idea, but I carried on by letting out a fortress tiger from its cage and hoped it would let me get on its back, fortunately I was trained to ride one of these tigers and we rode off in the distance. I heard the alamars and the yelling of my fellow demons as they frantically searched my room. I still couldn’t believe what I overheard the chief say. “What do you mean we can’t kill the rebellion’s leader? He is a sitting duck right as we speak.”
First thing I did was pass the demon’s gate and head over to the nearest town where I put on my mask; so no one would notice my face. I let the tiger roam around while I got something to eat. I was starving, at the camp there was very little food. I went inside a curry stall to see two soldiers holding a wanted poster of my head with a bounty of 20,000,000 credits($) and another one of the rebellion’s head with only 10,000 credits. All of a sudden I wasn’t hungry any more, that was a lie, I’m still hungry. RARRR my tiger ran into a house with the smell of meat. The soldiers behind me turned around at the sound but I was too fast and I knocked them out and wiped their minds. I took their food they were about to eat, I rushed out of there clutching the ramin in my hands. I ran into the house that Saber yes Saber I named him that. When I went in the house I could see the shadow of Saber upstairs so I headed up that way. Suddenly I heard the sounds of the soldiers from earlier getting up and shouting they were calling back up.
I went up stairs and found Saber. “ Saber, I was so worried about you,” I said. I felt the sense of a man standing behind me. I turned around Saber snarling. I was right, a tall strong looking man stood there ready to kill me if necessary. I pulled out my javelin and we began to jewel. He found out very quickly that he was no match for a flying tiger and a demon child trained to use a weapon ever since I was three. Suddenly I felt a surge of power and swung my javelin into his head. Me and Saber headed further up the stairs into the attic where I got a new sword.
Me and Saber broke a hole through the ceiling and Saber flew us out of there. We ran and ran until we found an abandoned house in the middle of the forest and Sabere settled down there.
Me and Saber are happy and this is where I can be free.

 

Blakes Santa Letter

This week in writing we have been learning how to write a formal message. This week we had to write a message to santa asking how he is doing and all that sort of thing.

December 7 2023

Hi Santa

I hope you are well and I hope all of your elves and Mrs. Claus are doing good too. I am extremely excited about Christmas and I am curious about all the presents and all of the things you have gotten up to in the North Pole. I hope you have already built my presents and that you will.

I have been extremely good this year for example one of the things I did good at is that most weeks this year I had finished all of my work at school.

This year I would like to have:
A PS5 because PS5s are extremely fast and there graphics are godly. The next gift I would like is a monitor to show all of my gaming. My third gift is a new journal so I can draw new things. My fourth gift is a new book because I love to read. My final gift that I would like is an Oodie customised so it is one piece themed because when it is cold I can just put it on and then be warm again.

I hope you have an amazing christmas holiday and I hope all of your eleves are well I am very excited for christmas.

My Film Review

This week in writing our task was to write a movie reflection from Manaiakalani.

Plot:
The plot is about a girl who stays up late, she wakes up late and gets to school late she also can’t concentrate at all.
Characters:
The characters is a class a girl, and the girls mum

I really liked this skid because the main protagonist is rhyming and because it is a really catchy song What I especially like about this skid is that it was made by year threes and it is such a good movie.

I recommend this movie because it tells kids to get some rest so your brain can have a rest. I think that this is a really good movie to watch if you like the song up the wahs.

Fang and the Dragon Ability

This week in writing I wrote a story blurb and a narritive about a story that I made up.

Here is the blurb:

In a hidden Chinese village, young Fang Kai resides amidst a remarkable community of both dragons and humans. Meanwhile, the neighboring Shangtai village, renowned for its victorious battles against rival tribes, finds itself intrigued by rumors of Kiado Mushan, a mysterious tribe said to possess the power of dragons. Determined to harness this power, the Shangtai king and his most trusted companion embark on a quest to locate this enigmatic village. Tracking one of its children, they stumble upon the secret village and launch an all-out attack, setting the stage for a fierce battle of survival.

My Ending

Throughout this year, our Writing group has learnt different aspects of writing a narrative story. This week’s task was to “finish” 6 stories we chose out of the slides Miss Tele’a provided.  My favourite ending I wrote was for the story about a cruise ship going under, because there was lots of drama.
