Text Chat (using emojis)

Today I complete anouther summer learning journey task.

Today I had to write a text confersation between to friends. They were talking to each about what they like to do in the holiday and what they want to do in the holidays.

My learning objective was to include and use emoji’s and pictures to my text.

I also learnt who the creator of the emoji is and what emoji stands for. The man who created the emoji is named Shigetaka Kurita he worked for an iphone company that added it, emoji stands for e being picture and moji being chracter which means together bicture charcter.

 

 

My Silhoutte

Today I Completed the silhoutte art task for the summer learning journey.

My first task was to look at the video explaining what I silhoutte is and giving me easy ideas for my posing and for how bright or dark my background should.

My second task was to look at the instructions, the instructions told me to take a photo of myself because my computer dosen’t have a great camera I used my dads. After that I put my photo through a remove background web site. Then I put my image on google slides, changed the format colour to drak 4 and posted to my blog.

WInter 101

Today I made I DLO explaning what I would do and bring bring on I winter holiday I had to explain where I wanted to go by using pictures. I also had to explain what gear I would bring with me agin by using pictures. IΒ  had to name two activites I wanted to do, my activites were skiing and snow boarding. My final task was to write why I wanted to go snow boarding. (The reason why I wnated to go skiing is so I can see if it is hard and also so I can say that I have done it.

The Magic Dog / Emoji story’s

To day I completed a task that made me write a story using emojis. Here is my story.

I leart how to get emoji’s in google docs and that emojis can lead to emoution and verbs such as running or sad.

The Magic Dog

Once upon a ⏰️ there was a πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί named Pedro, Pedro lived inside a πŸŒ‡ with his owner Jacob. Jacob and Pedro loved to go on πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™€οΈs through 🏞 and in πŸ›, they also both ❀️ πŸ– and going to the πŸ„πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. One day when Pedro and Jacob were πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™€οΈ through the πŸ› they heard a loud thud coming from a tall 🌲. They πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ over to the 🌲 too πŸ‘€ a massive 🐦 double the size of pedro, laying on the ground. All of a sudden Pedro and Jacob were swooped up by another massive 🐦 as they were being carried away by a huge 🐦. Pedro was building up the courage to bite the big πŸ¦β€™s 🦡🏻. Pedro all of sudden felt like he wasn’t being held by anything and low and behold he wasn’t. He was ✈️ in the air right behind the flying 🐦 Pedro ✈️ over to the 🐦 and bit it right in the 🦡🏻 where Jacob was hanging from. Pedro grabbed Jacab and went back to the πŸ›. Jacob was πŸ‘€ very 🀒 so Pedro πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ over to one of the other πŸ‘₯ at the πŸ› and got there attention, Pedro got the attention of a family and got the family to follow him, Pedro πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ back to Jacob and the family πŸ“ž the πŸš‘ as Pedro was waiting for the πŸš‘ pedro felt more and more 😱 for his owner, he felt 😑 that the 🐦s just took them away without πŸ—£ anything and he especially felt a πŸ€ͺ feeling β€œhow did Jacob get so πŸ€’β€ Pedro πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ there πŸ€” right until the πŸš‘ came. Pedro πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ inside the πŸš‘ and once Jacob was inside Pedro laid on Jacob, the πŸ§‘β€βš•οΈ outside were πŸ—£ until they πŸš‘ a bright πŸ”¦ coming from the πŸš‘ and the πŸ§‘β€βš•οΈ πŸ‘€ inside the πŸš‘ to their amazement they πŸ‘€ Pedro laying on Jacob which was making a bright gold πŸ”¦ coming from between them. Suddenly Pedro 🦘 off Jacob and then Jacob πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ up and he was helped up by aΒ  by πŸ§‘β€βš•οΈ Pedro saved Jacob! Pedro and Jacob the next day found other things they could do apart from their love for air walks with Pedro flying high.Β Β Β 

 

Blakes Santa Letter

This week in writing we have been learning how to write a formal message. This week we had to write a message to santa asking how he is doing and all that sort of thing.

December 7 2023

Hi Santa

I hope you are well and I hope all of your elves and Mrs. Claus are doing good too. I am extremely excited about Christmas and I am curious about all the presents and all of the things you have gotten up to in the North Pole. I hope you have already built my presents and that you will.

I have been extremely good this year for example one of the things I did good at is that most weeks this year I had finished all of my work at school.

This year I would like to have:
A PS5 because PS5s are extremely fast and there graphics are godly. The next gift I would like is a monitor to show all of my gaming. My third gift is a new journal so I can draw new things. My fourth gift is a new book because I love to read. My final gift that I would like is an Oodie customised so it is one piece themed because when it is cold I can just put it on and then be warm again.

I hope you have an amazing christmas holiday and I hope all of your eleves are well I am very excited for christmas.

How to subtract Decimals

This week in math I have been learning about Decimals and how to subtract them.

My first task was to complete a work sheet that had subtration and addition in it that we had to complete, but because we did adition last week we did subtraction this week.Β  A hard part was the last row because the ones was all zero and it had more challenging tenths and hundredths questions.

My Second and final task was to write how to subtract decimals to subtract decimals you need to minice the hundredths, minice the tenths, minice the ones and miniceΒ  the tens, but to put it in simpler terms just do the opisite of adding. This is my example of how to add decimals.

I enjoyed this task because I got to subtract decimals which I had not done in a long time.

I need to work on adding and subtracing decimals.

I improved on showing how I worked it out.

How to add Decimals

This week in math I have been learning about Decimals and how to add them.

My first task was to complete a warm up task, the warm up task was to add up decimals like the example I did.

My second task was to do a paper work – sheet. It was the same as the work – sheet but just more and a lot harder.

My final task was to write how to add decimals. Here is my example.

HPE (discus)

For HPE we learned how to throw a discuss. Our coach who was writing down the names of the people that were throwing it the furthist

First we started with running, we were waiting for the girls to finish with their discus.

Once they were done they went back to class and I had to throw it has far as I could. When you are throwing a discuss you need to face the direction of what hand you use so if you are right handed then your body needs to be facing the right way but if you are left handed then you need to be face your left side ofΒ  your bodyΒ  and you need to put your arm straight and the disscus is facing downwards. When you are about to lauch you flip your hand and flick, no throwing.

Proto – Types

This week in inqury I have been learning about what a proto – type is.

We watched a video explaining what a proto – type is and that is where we got our facts. In the video it explained who, what and why proto – types are in this world.

My task was to write what a proto – type. In my presentation I put an example of what a proto – type is and explaining what it helps you with and what proto – types are used for. A proto – type is a version of something before it gets published into the world.

My example for a proto type is a new I phone. Here is my work.

 

My Film Review

This week in writing our task was to write a movie reflection from Manaiakalani.

Plot:
The plot is about a girl who stays up late, she wakes up late and gets to school late she also can’t concentrate at all.
Characters:
The characters is a class a girl, and the girls mum

I really liked this skid because the main protagonist is rhyming and because it is a really catchy song What I especially like about this skid is that it was made by year threes and it is such a good movie.

I recommend this movie because it tells kids to get some rest so your brain can have a rest. I think that this is a really good movie to watch if you like the song up the wahs.
